Mustafa Asım Ezer was born on July 31, 1978, in Kahramanmaraş, Turkiye. He completed his primary and secondary education at İnönü Primary School. He finished his high school education at Kahramanmaraş Imam Hatip High School. He later graduated in Electrical-Electronics Technician from Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University. He worked at his own company, MASEF Electrical-Electronics, in Kahramanmaraş.
Mustafa Asım Ezer had a deep interest in many fields, including amateur radio, search and rescue, and mountaineering. He met his wife, Demet, during a mountaineering expedition, and they married in 2021. If he had not tragically passed away, they were expecting a daughter, whom they planned to name "Pera," just one week after his passing.
He started his amateur radio hobby in 2007 with the call sign TB8BZ as a class B operator. In 2015, he obtained his class A license and became TA8MAE. In 2020, he used the call sign TA8BZ and, finally, in 2021, he continued his activities with the call sign TA8DX.
To promote amateur radio in Kahramanmaraş, he founded an amateur radio association and contributed to activities in both HF and VHF-UHF bands. His final participation was as an operator in the special TC100TC event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkiye. Sadly, he passed away in the February 6th earthquake.
